The Houston Texans have cut down to their initial 53-man roster, and former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Bruce Ellington has earned a spot. The 49ers waived Ellington on August 3, and he was claimed by the New York Jets. He failed his physical however, and was released to free agency.
Ellington signed with the Texans and has since made the roster. Injuries have always been a problem for him, but he is a talented receiver. It remains to be seen if he’ll remain healthy, but for the time being he is on a roster. He could still end up cut in the coming days, but for now, congrats to Bruce!
