The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams announced their inactives for Week 3, and safety Jaquiski Tartt is active. The 49ers safety dealt with a neck injury this week and was listed as questionable. He will start at strong safety next to Jimmie Ward, with Eric Reid inactive due to his knee injury.
Eli Harold is also active after being a late addition to the injury report this week. If he had been inactive, we might have seen Pita Taumoepenu make his NFL debut. Instead, he is inactive, and Dekoda Watson remains the primary backup at SAM linebacker. Watson got a decent amount of work in Week 1, and then only one snap in Week 2. That was likely due to the team spending more time in their sub packages.
49ers inactives: WR Kendrick Bourne, CB Ahkello Witherspoon, SS Eric Reid, LB Pita Taumoepenu, LB Reuben Foster, OL Erik Magnuson, DT Xavier Cooper
Rams inactives: QB Brandon Allen, CB Kayvon Webster, RB Malcolm Brown, S Marqui Christian, OLB Ejuan Price, OT Andrew Donnal, OT Cornelius Lucas
