The 49ers did a lot of things to lose the game last night. Garcon seemed to be our only receiver that knows how to catch a football at times. Pass blocking left a lot to be desired at times, and our defense gave up a lot of yards along with 41 points. I don't know why the officials thought they needed to take it upon themselves to make some of the ridiculous calls they made like the holding call on Juszczyk or the offensive pass interference on Taylor. We also had a sack nullified by the officials on a Dontae Johnson hold that looked a whole lot more legal than the hold on Celek in the end zone. Then there was the penalty on Jimmie Ward for hitting a defenseless player. I guess he was suppose to let him waltz into the end zone because I really could not see what else he could have done. I think the refs won this one. They worked hard for the win, you have to give them credit.
Enough whining, our team is going to have to play better than they did last night if they really expect to win. I personally am beginning to wonder about every receiver on our team other than Garcon.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for Tartt and Juszczyk. Hopefully their head injuries were not too serious. I wish the best of luck for them on speedy and full recoveries.
I hope Joe Williams really was injured and wasn't just put on injured reserve for the season to moth ball him until next year because, after watching that small sample of Mostert when Hyde was briefly sidelined with injury, I think it might have been a big mistake. Not that I want to see Joe Williams injured.
I would like to conclude by giving big shout outs to both Carlos Hyde and Pierre Garcon for their strong efforts in last night's game. now onto those sizzling hot links.
