Golden Nuggets: Tank Out for Awhile

New, comments

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Buffalo Bills Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

Tank Carradine has officially been put on injured reserve after sustaining an ankle sprain on Thursday night. He would be eligible to play in 8 weeks if he recovers from the injury. He has 1 sack this season, which came against the Seahawks. The 49ers signed former Cowboys LB Mark Nzeocha in the place of Tank’s roster spot.

The injury to Tank could mean more playing time for the 3rd pick in the draft, Solomon Thomas. Tank was playing on base downs, but Thomas has played more snaps overall. The extra snaps could benefit Solomon in the long run. The team will be expecting him to a big part of their future and are looking for more impact from him.

The 49ers play this coming Sunday at Arizona. They will be looking for their 1st win under Kyle Shanahan. Hopefully the offense can show up like they did on Thursday night, but the defense plays like they did against Seattle.
