The San Francisco 49ers return to practice Wednesday afternoon, and they’ll start to welcome back a host of players in preparation for the Arizona Cardinals. One player that likely won’t be back is linebacker Reuben Foster. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said he did not think Foster would be back at practice this week.
Running back Carlos Hyde suffered a hip injury during last Thursday’s game, but managed to return. Shanahan said he will be listed as limited in practice. I would not be surprised if he was listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report, but if he is limited all three days, he’ll be playing on Sunday.
The 49ers had three players suffer concussions last Thursday, and all three are making progress in their returns. Shanahan said all three players, including Kyle Juszczyk, Jaquiski Tartt, and Brock Coyle, have been cleared to return to football activities. None of the three have been cleared for contact yet, but that is part of the process. They will likely be listed as limited on Wednesday, and then we’ll see how it goes from there. But barring setbacks, it seems like all three could be ready for Sunday.
