There’s going to be a lot of amusing things happening in Arizona this Sunday. For starters, the 49ers are going to see a few familiar faces on the Arizona Cardinals. Alex Boone is hanging out there, though he may be in street clothes. Mike Iupati, former first round pick and run blocker extraordinaire is shored up on the Cardinal line (well if he’s back from that nasty triceps injury), and let’s not forget Blaine Gabbert, who might be the future of Arizona’s season if Carson Palmer continues the beating he gets this season. There’s others; Andy Lee, Phil Dawson. The 49ers have become Arizona’s farm club for some strange reason.

Given that the 49ers played before the protest outbreak in response to President Trump’s comments, I’m interested in seeing how the team responds this week. Kyle Shanahan has hinted that the team will be doing something, and given that all this started with the 49ers, it’s rather curious. Whether the response is to the comments made by the President or the original message set by Colin Kaepernick can be up for debate. Regardless of if or what you agree or disagree on , there is no denying that this is becoming a significant event in history and the protest, regardless of where it’s heading, will no doubt be in classrooms one day for the youth to learn from. There are lots of things being raised by this protest to talk about, but the talk yet to come is how the youth of tomorrow will be enlightened by this going forward.
