The San Francisco 49ers have plenty of work to do over the remaining 13 games this season, but that won’t stop us from looking ahead to the 2018 NFL Draft next April!

The 49ers are 0-3, tied with the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, New York Giants, and Cincinnati Bengals for the worst record in the NFL. There is a lot of football left to be played, and I suspect one of these teams ends up running off a decent streak to move behind the pack.

We have been taking a look regularly at who might be there when the 49ers pick, and just generally across the board. Quarterbacks are the position getting the most play, but there are some quality talents that will be competing for top billing. And one of them could be at running back.

Our friends at Bovada, put together odds on who will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. USC quarterback Sam Darnold has the top odds at -125 (bet $125 to win $100). He is followed by Penn State running back Saquon Barkley at +125 (bet $100 to win $125). UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen is third at +700, and Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is fourth at +1000.

It’s worth noting that Darnold and Barkley actually opened earlier this week tied at even money. It would appear some quick money came in on Darnold and Bovada decided to make a slight adjustment on the odds.
