The NFL preseason wrapped up on Thursday, and with it the NFL has provided a rundown of some notable statistics. You can read all about who led the NFL in rushing, receiving, passing, and a host of other statistics. The San Francisco 49ers have some representation, including Victor Bolden leading the NFL with a 34.4 yard kickoff return average, and Raheem Mostert having the longest reception in the NFC, at 87 yards.
However, my favorite statistic belongs to 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard. According to the NFL, he finished the preseason tied for the longest run from scrimmage in the NFC. In case you forgot about the run, it was this gem against the Los Angeles Chargers. He is not the fastest runner, even for quarterbacks, but he showed some solid moves to get out into the open field. I don’t think this is the play that secured the backup role for him, but I can’t imagine it hurt!
