The San Francisco 49ers kick off their 2017 regular season schedule this weekend when they host the Carolina Panthers. The game kicks off at 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX, with Thom Brennaman and Chris Spielman on the call, and Peter Schrager on the sideline.
The return of football means it is once again time to figure out where in the world people can watch 49ers games. When a team is playing well, they get extra prime time games, and even their regular FOX or CBS games get more regular air time. When a team is struggling, not so much. With that in mind, we’re here to help you figure out how best to watch games each week.
For Week 1, FOX gets the doubleheader. However, the 49ers are getting limited regional coverage. The folks at 506sports.com post weekly broadcast maps showing where each game will play everywhere in the United States. Here’s a look at where the 49ers-Panthers game will be broadcast
1. Northern California - north of Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, not much in the upper section near Oregon
2. Nevada - Reno market
3. North Carolina
4. South Carolina
5. Eastern Georgia
6. Roanoke, Virginia market
There are not many international viewing options, as some of our resources have gone away. We used to have one for Canada and one for the Far East, but now we have neither. If you know of an international broadcast option, let us know in the comments.
Brazil: ESPN Extra
Armed Forces Network-Europe: No broadcast
Canada: Our friends at A Rouge Point do not appear to be updating anymore :(
Far East: Our friends at All Sports Network TV are still updating their website, so I am not sure if it is playing.
