Welcome back to football! It’s been a long offseason, with the San Francisco 49ers make some huge changes. We’ll get to see them in action on Sunday, but in the meantime, the season gets started with the annual Thursday kickoff game.

The New England Patriots host the Kansas City Chiefs, unveiling their latest championship banner in Foxboro. The game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on NBC, with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth in the booth, and Michelle Tafoya on the sideline.

The Patriots are nine point favorites, kicking off a season in which many view them as the stand-alone favorite for the Super Bowl. They lost Julian Edelman to injury, but adding Brandin Cooks adds a deep threat dimension they have not had in a while. Early season football is always tough to figure out when it comes to the spread, but I have a feeling the Patriots are going to roll in this one.
