What 49ers film study would you like to see this offseason?

New, comments

I’ll be going back through every game and making gifs for film study purposes this offseason.

Throughout the offseason, I’m going through each of the San Francisco 49ers’ 16 games and putting together a series of film study pieces. I will publish two articles for each game, looking at the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Each post will focus on something specific that I feel should be highlighted from the game, and something that is relevant to the team going forward.

In other words, we’re not going to see a lot of focus on Brian Hoyer, who isn’t with the team anymore. Nor will I spend much time on guys who are pretty much guaranteed to be done with the team, like Aaron Lynch or Dontae Johnson, unless that’s what people want.

And that’s what this article is for — figuring out what people want. Film study takes a long time, and then on top of that there’s putting together gifs for you all to see and, of course, I do occasionally have to write things. That’s a lot of time commitment, but I don’t want to bring you stuff you folks don’t want.

So I want to know what it is folks are looking for. Do you want to see why the coaches like Eli Harold so much? How about Ahkello Witherspoon’s worst game? How about that atrocious run blocking you’ve heard so much about? Just let me know in the comments if there is anything specific, down to specific plays and games if you want, that I should be looking at.
