Golden Nuggets: What’s next for Reuben Foster?

New, comments

Sunday, January 14th, 2018 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

San Francisco 49ers v Los Angeles Rams

Good morning folks. That was an ugly playoff game followed closely by one that was incredibly boring. I am hoping so hard for a New England Patriots implosion (as my co-worker Jon Benne referred to it, “going full red wedding”), and they definitely didn’t do that against a Tennessee Titans on Saturday.

The team I care about plays today: the Minnesota Vikings. I’m not really sure why I’m rooting for them at this point, but I like what they’ve managed to do this season with Case Keenum at quarterback. It also helps that I have a couple good friends who are Vikings fans and they’re generally pretty miserable, like myself.

Either way, right now, all things in 49erland are centered on linebacker Reuben Foster and his arrest in Alabama for possession of marijuana. A lot of people are calling him a bad draft pick and comparing him (wrongly) to Aldon Smith. I think both of those things are pretty silly at this point, however. Let’s get to your links.
