Golden Nuggets: And then there were four

New, comments

Sunday, January 21st, 2018 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles are the only teams with a shot at winning the Super Bowl, and two of them will be eliminated in the conference championships on Sunday. Personally, I’m rooting for the Patriots to lose above all else, but after that, what I want is the Vikings to get their first ever Super Bowl.

Something about this year’s Vikings team does it for me. I don’t particularly have strong feelings for any one player on the roster, nor do I really have an opinion on Mike Zimmer as a coach. The trajectory they have been on is rather fascinating, and I find them eternally preferable compared to the Patriots and the Eagles.

Of course, all four of these teams are on borrowed time anyway, as Jimmy Garoppolo is sure to capture the next five or six Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers, right ya’ll?
