The San Francisco 49ers sent a full contingent of scouts, executives, and others to Mobile, Alabama this week to take in the 2018 Senior Bowl. They will spend the week evaluating the players in practice, and they are also getting a chance to meet with players at the end of practice and in more formal interviews.
The second day of practice began on Wednesday, and we have an updated list, courtesy of Walter Football’s Charlie Campbell. Per Campbell, these are interactions seen after practice, not the formal interviews that take place later in the day. Some players confirm formal interviews, but we will not hear about most that happen.
WR Byron Pringle, Kansas State
WR Michael Gallup, Colorado State (told Jennifer Chan he had not met with 49ers)
OG Skyler Phillips, Idaho State
C Bradley Bozeman, Alabama
DE Da’Shawn Hand, Alabama
DT Harrison Phillips, Stanford (confirmed with Jennifer Chan)
CB Siran Neal, Jacksonville State
QB Kyle Lauletta, Richmond (via Jonathan Valencia)
OG Will Hernandez, UTEP (via Matthew Fairburn)
LB Fred Warner, BYU
DT Nathan Shepherd, Fort Hays State
S Trayvon Henderson, Hawaii
CB Christian Campbell, Penn State
We will be developing a list of all the prospects that interact with the 49ers over the next three months. We have some names from the Shrine Game, although that is often just quick interactions to update specific pieces of information. The Senior Bowl provides more of the first big meetings, with the Combine, Pro Days, and private workouts where much of the real work happens.
