The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report in anticipation to their Monday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers and Dante Pettis isn’t the only wide receiver to miss the primetime matchup. Trent Taylor will also be out for the game. The beat writers have also reported that Taylor will be out.
Richie James had a few looks in Week 5, but with Taylor now sidelined, he has an opportunity to show some things and develop a role with the team.
Matt Breida (shoulder/ankle), who many thought would not make the trip to Green Bay was listed as questionable and remains a game-time decision according to Kyle Shanahan. If put in the game, I’d imagine Breida would get limited snaps while Alfred Morris would be playing a bit more just so the 49ers don’t aggravate anything.
The 49ers do have until Monday afternoon to make a decision on the roster for Monday Night, that will give them some time to evaluate the injuries and make some decisions.
Meanwhile with the Green Bay Packers, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not listed on the practice report at all. Rodgers suffered a knee injury in Week 1 that has been lingering since. Wide receivers Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (hamstring) are both game-time decisions, so Rodgers has even less people to throw to.
