Marquise Goodwin showed off his long jump skills after his second TD vs. Packers

It was a heck of an evening for the 49ers wide receiver.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin broke through with a huge performance on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers, catching four passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Goodwin has struggled to get going this season, with quadricep and hamstring injuries limited him through the first five weeks. On Monday, we saw exactly what he can do for the offense.

Goodwin had touchdowns of 67 and 30 yards in the first half. Following his first touchdown, he did a little dance, but kept his celebration pretty basic. Following his second touchdown, he did a quick dance, and then added an homage to his previous life as an Olympic track & field star. He ran across the end zone and did the long jump. Even with all that equipment and coming off a 30 yard catch and run touchdown, I’m guessing he out-leapt most of what any of us could do.

It was a celebration unique to what Goodwin is all about. Given his quadricep and hamstring injury entering the game, there’s always the slight concern about aggravating it. However, considering his two long touchdown catch and run plays, it’s safe to say his legs are doing just fine!
