Fooch’s update: Head coach Steve Wilks is describing the injury as a sprained toe, and Rosen is expected to be fine for Week 8 vs. the 49ers.
Fooch’s update: Rosen is wearing a walking boot and getting an MRI on his toe.
Josh Rosen is in a walking boot today and getting an MRI on injured toe. He said last night it was no big deal. But he did not got to UCLA med school so Dr might have a different opinion

The Arizona Cardinals suffered an ugly Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, performing like they were sleep-walking. Denver thumped them 45-10 in a game that saw them jump out to a 14-0 lead and never look back. They dominated on both sides of the ball, with a pair of picks sixes on defense and Emmanuel Sanders dominating on offense.
The Cardinals suffered added insult when rookie quarterback Josh Rosen suffered a toe injury on the team’s last offensive play of the game. On 4th and 16, Rosen was sacked for an eight-yard loss and limped off the field. Rosen said he was fine and was “just being soft” when he went down holding his foot, per ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss. Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks said they would wait for the trainers to assess the injury before declaring anything for Week 8.
Each week, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas releases a lookahead line for the following week’s game. So, in the days leading up to Week 7 games, they release a line for each team’s Week 8 matchup. The idea is that it sets up a benchmark to see how Week 7 impacts perceptions when the official line comes out Sunday night.
The San Francisco 49ers host the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7 as 9.5 point underdogs. In Week 8, the 49ers travel to face Arizona with a lookahead line installing the Cardinals as two-point favorites. This made some sense given Arizona’s Week 5 win over the 49ers. San Francisco dominated the game statistically, but five turnovers cost them the game. Prior to Thursday, Arizona deserved to be favored, but not by much.
After Arizona’s performance on TNF, it will be interesting to see what Sunday brings. If the 49ers are thumped by the Rams, the line probably does not change much. But if the 49ers put in a respectable performance against the Rams, maybe we see Week 8 turn into a pick ‘em or even the 49ers installed as modest favorites.
How do you see the line opening Sunday evening?
