Fooch’s note: Chargers-Titans gets things going eaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrly in London with a 6:30 a.m. PT kickoff. We’ll get the game thread going now.
Welcome to Week 7 of the NFL season. We watched the Arizona Cardinals get an absolute drubbing at the hands of the Denver Broncos to the tune of 45-10 and bad ratings as well. It proves people will watch good football instead of bad football and that was bad mid-season football.
The San Francisco 49ers get going in the afternoon at 1:25 P.M. in a home game against the Cardinals Los Angeles Rams The afternoon time gives us a slew of A.M. games to consider and there’s a few that should look good.
Strangely enough, I’m a bit interested in seeing the New England Patriots take on the Chicago Bears. Mitch Trubisky has been shining as of late and that Bears defense seems like it’s on its way to returning the team to it’s original identity, not unlike Kyle Shanahan’s offense doing the same for the 49ers.
Also interesting will be the Sunday night game. While the 49ers got flexed out of the spot, the New England Patriots did start to show a bit of the Kansas City Chiefs weaknesses. I’d like to see if things continue to spiral downwards for the team. Patrick Mahomes will be a great quarterback, but I also know a lot of his success is from play-calling and teams not having any film on him (and it’s a much different situation than Jimmy Garoppolo who was behind Brady for years and played in more games). I’d like to see if the Bengals bring an even more tough gameplan and if we start to see Mahomes take some lumps so to speak.
