In news that is not all that surprising, the NFL and NBC have decided to remove the San Francisco 49ers Week 7 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams from Sunday Night Football. The league had until Tuesday to make the decision, and Adam Schefter is reporting Bengals-Chiefs has been moved into the SNF slot.
The 49ers-Rams game has been moved into the 1:25 p.m. PT. That Week 7 afternoon schedule includes Saints-Ravens at 1:05 p.m. and Dallas-Washington at 1:25 p.m. It is safe to say Dallas-Washington will be the national game of the week. 49ers-Rams will get some decent coverage given the Rams performance thus far, but it will likely be limited to the western part of the country (and maybe parts of Missouri).
The 49ers travel to face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13 for Sunday Night Football, and odds are pretty good that game will be flexed as well. Fortunately, Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football cannot be flexed. That leaves the 49ers in primetime this Monday against the Green Bay Packers, Week 9 TNF against the Oakland Raiders, and Week 10 MNF against the New York Giants.
