So the 49ers blasted the Raiders last week and now the New York Giants come to town. I’m not going to say Eli Manning is a great quarterback, I think he’s a extremely lucky one to have been placed on two well-made teams that underachieved in the regular season and limped into the playoffs en route to Super Bowl wins. But I will say that offense is a step up of the disaster that was the Oakland Raiders. Derek Carr looks like he could screw up a cup of coffee.
So this is like “Level 2” for Nick Mullens, Robert Saleh, and anyone else on that team that ‘s not on the injury report. As boring as this game is to the common football fan, it’s a game to watch closely because like the Cardinals, the 49ers should beat the Giants. Even in their injured, shadowed state. No, a loss isn’t going to cost Kyle Shanahan his job or put him on the hot seat like some would want you to think, but it’s a good progress report.
Of course if Mullens plays lights out again...we got a whole nuther problem.
