Welcome to Week 11 of the 2018 NFL season! The San Francisco 49ers are on bye this week, so we get a chance to relax a little bit and enjoy some football that doesn’t involve seeing the 49ers lose bad or blow a close one. The week gets going later tonight with what could be a fun one between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field on Thursday Night Football.
If you’re still alive in your Survivor pool, I doubt you’ll be using the Packers or Seahawks tonight. The safest pick might be the Saints at home against the Eagle. I don’t think it will be a walk in the park for New Orleans, but if you want to use that pick, now is a good time. If you want to get a little crazy this weekend, Arizona at home against Oakland is intriguing. The Cardinals’ only two wins are against the 49ers, but the Raiders are abysmal. I’d like to see Oakland get the win for draft pick purposes, but I don’t see that happening.
Tonight, Week 11 opens with a rehashing of the historically fun Packers-Seahawks rivalry. Seattle is a 2.5-point favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. This is a tough one to handicap. Green Bay is 4-4-1 and Seattle is 4-5, currently on the outside of the playoffs looking in. I think this ends up being a tight one, but Seattle gets the slight cover. I’ll go with something like 24-20.
Here are all my straight-up picks for Week 11. I was 9-5 last week, bringing my season record to 97-48-2. I’ll have the rest of my picks against the spread later this weekend.
