San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman DeForest Buckner set a career-high in sacks Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He took down quarterback Jameis Winston, for his seventh sack of the year. He benefited from Winston tripping, but it still counts!

As a rookie, Buckner racked up six sacks in 2016, along with 73 total tackles, seven tackles for loss and 18 quarterback hits. The first-round pick was not as successful at taking down the quarterback in 2017, only accounting for three sacks despite stepping up to 22 hits.
Buckner seems to be putting it all together in his third year with the 49ers. Through 11 games, he’s totaled 36 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hits and seven sacks — a career high.
