Titans-Texans closes out the week with Monday Night Football

The NFL closes out Week 12 with an important AFC South matchup on Monday Night Football. The 7-3 Houston Texans host the 5-5 Tennessee Titans with kickoff set for 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN. Joe Tessitore and Jason Witten will call the game from the booth, with Booger McFarland serving as an analyst from the field. Lisa Salters continues her duties as the sideline reporter.

Tennessee won the first game between these two teams, and now needs a second win to close the gap in the division. With Indianapolis winning on Sunday, Tennessee needs a win to maintain pace with them behind Houston. Meanwhile, Houston needs a win to even up with New England for the third and fourth seeds in the AFC. They would both be half a game back of Pittsburgh for the No. 2 seed and a first round bye.

The Texans are a 3.5-point favorite over the Titans, according to sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. Houston has won seven straight, but it’s hard to tell just how good they are. The Titans are woefully inconsistent, but this is not an easy one to figure out. I’ll lay the points at home, but I won’t feel comfortable about it.
