The San Francisco 49ers returned to practice on Thursday, and we had some adjustments to the injury report. The good news is that center Weston Richburg was upgraded from DNP to limited. We’ll see what Friday brings, but it looks like he should be on track to play this Sunday.
The first piece of bad news is we saw defensive end Arik Armstead added to the injury report. He was listed as limited with a back injury. He seems likely to play, but this would seem to be something that flared up on Wednesday. He’s been playing some stout run defense as an edge defender.
The second piece of bad news would appear to involve wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. He was apparently at the complex today to meet with coaches and team officials, and was excused again from practice to deal with family matters, per Matt Maiocco. Goodwin offered up this tweet, which suggests he and his family are going through some difficult times right now. We’re keeping him in our thoughts.
LORD, I’m leaning on you HEAVY today, trusting wholeheartedly in your word & the promises you’ve spoken into my life. I’m asking that you free me of all anxiety or depression today so that i‘m able to sustain a clear vision of what it is you have destined for me. I love you. AMEN
