The San Francisco 49ers head into Week 10 Monday Night Football coming off their second win of the season. They crushed the Oakland Raiders, and will look to build on it against a bad New York Giants team. Nick Mullens returns for his second career start and is the biggest x-factor of this matchup.
The 49ers are a field goal favorite, and fan confidence is growing. Our latest FanPulse survey shows a bump from 33 percent confidence to 57 percent confidence. Wins over anybody and close losses to good teams have bumped confidence with regularity, as this graphic shows.

The 49ers currently sit at 2-7 with the third pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. They host the Giants this week, and then after their bye travel to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 49ers have proven twice against Arizona that their ability to blow games should not be underestimated. And yet, the Giants and Bucs present two significant opportunities to get victories.
It’s hard to get too specific with predictions about the 49ers offense given the Mullens factor, but the 49ers could very well be traveling to Seattle with a 4-7 record. The Bucs offense could be problematic for the 49ers inconsistent defense, but these are winnable games.
Draft order is top of mind for a lot of folks, even with some optimism creeping in after last week. Looking ahead, how might this season close out for the 49ers? If you can’t see the poll below, click here.
