How confident are you in the 49ers right now?

Every week, we run a FanPulse survey in which site readers answer two or three questions, including whether or not they’re confident in the direction of the team. It’s an entirely unscientific poll, but it’s a chance to get a couple hundred people offering their thoughts on the state of the team.

Fan confidence took a dive after Jimmy Garoppolo got hurt, dropping from 99 percent before Week 1 to 44 percent after the injury. As this poll shows, it zig-zagged during the ensuing eight weeks, and for now, bottomed out after an ugly Week 12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Each of the past two weeks, it has risen.

I get the climb after the win over the Denver Broncos, but it also climbed a bit after the 43-16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. My guess is the big numbers Nick Mullens put up helped to a certain extent.

Now, two weeks later, the 49ers host Seattle in Week 15. The Seahawks can clinch a playoff berth with a win, while the 49ers remain firmly in the hunt for the No. 1 pick in the draft. The 49ers opened as high as a six-point underdog, but the line has come down to four points. This is the second straight week we’ve seen the 49ers line come down at least two points. 49ers backers are feeling feisty!

What are your expectations this weekend in the rematch with Seattle?
