The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report for Week 15 vs. the Seattle Seahawks, and there are no surprises. Safety Jaquiski Tartt has been formally ruled out with a shoulder injury, which means Marcell Harris will make this third straight start at strong safety. Harris struggled with tackling and pursuit angles in his starting debut two weeks ago, but had a strong game last week against the Denver Broncos.
Matt Breida sat out last week, but three straight limited practices this week has him listed as questionable. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has said he thinks Breida will play this weekend. Jeff Wilson started last week in his place, so we’ll see how much work he gets if Breida is back closer to his full workload.
Nickel back K’Waun Williams is once again questionable with a knee injury. He sat out Wednesday practice, and was limited on Thursday and Friday. If Williams cannot play, D.J. Reed would start at nickel back and Antone Exum would start at free safety. If Williams can play, my guess is Reed moves to free safety, but we’ll see.
Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis were Thursday additions to the injury report and are listed as questionable. Last week, Pettis and Kendrick Bourne started at the two outside receiver spots, and Goodwin and Trent Taylor were the first two off the bench. We’ll have to wait and see what Sunday brings for Pettis and Goodwin.
