49ers line moving vs. Bears, Jets make huge move vs. Packers

The San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets are currently neck-and-neck for the third and fourth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and early Week 16 lines suggest upsets could still be possible.

The 49ers host the Chicago Bears in their home finale. San Francisco opened as a five-point underdog, but there has been sizable early movement at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. The line dropped as low as 3.5 points, but has since moved back up to four points. The 49ers are on a two-game win streak, while Chicago is playing for a potential first round bye and has plenty to play for the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Jets opened as a three-point home underdog to the Green Bay Packers, but that line has swung to where the Jets are now favored by as much as a point and a half. Some sportsbooks have taken the line off the board, which suggests they think Aaron Rodgers will not play on Sunday. I suppose they could also think the Packers just stink, coming off elimination from playoff contention yesterday. Rodgers has been banged up at times this season, but has played all 14 games this season, so we’ll see what happens on Sunday.

The 49ers and Jets are tied with a 4-10 record, and the Jets have the slightest of edges in strength of schedule. The Jets are at .502 (111-110-3) while the 49ers are at .504 (112-110-2). It’s a half game difference with two weeks remaining.
