Fooch’s update: Frank Gore would appear to have confirmed the news!
— Frank Gore (@frankgore) December 23, 2018
Former San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore was recently placed on injured reserve with a foot injury, but Adam Schefter is reporting he will not need surgery and should recover in a few weeks.
More importantly, Schefter is reporting that Gore wants to return for another season! Gore has said in recent years that he re-assess where things stand each offseason before deciding if he’s ready for another year. Apparently he has decided he does not want his career to end with an injury.
Gore will enter next season 521 rushing yards back of Barry Sanders for third all time, and 610 total yards back of Marshall Faulk for fourth all-time in total yards from scrimmage.
The road to Canton appears like it will continue in 2019!
