The San Francisco 49ers will be without wide receiver Dante Pettis in Week 17, but thankfully he should not have a long-term injury. Pettis injured his knee this past Sunday against the Chicago Bears. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan said they believed it was an MCL injury, and on Monday, he confirmed it was an MCL sprain.
It turns out Pettis had a handle on things Sunday evening after the game. He posted some video to Instagram, in which his cat Mowgli offers some thoughts on his knee injury. Maybe Mowgli can be the team’s chief medical spokesperson.
