The San Francisco 49ers’ 2018 season is officially in the books. The team opened the season with high expectations, but once Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL in Week 3, things went south in a hurry. There were plenty of positives to take away from the season, but a 4-12 record is disappointing regardless.
The team is in Santa Clara on Monday cleaning out their lockers as they prepare to go their separate ways for the next four months. Players can still work out at the 49ers facility, but they cannot work with coaches again until the offseason workout program begins in April.
With this being the last day players are around for a while, Monday is the final big media availability of the offseason. The locker room opens at 9 a.m. and that will be followed by head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch chatting about the season that was and the coming offseason. Shanahan and Lynch will meet are scheduled to meet with the media at 11:00 a.m. PT. The 49ers will stream the press conferences on their Facebook page, Twitter, and the team’s app.
The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from the media sessions. I’ve embedded our beat writer Twitter list so you can follow along. We’ll have plenty to come from today’s media availability.
