49ers installed as 5-point home underdogs to Seahawks

The 49ers got a slight bump with their win over Denver.

The San Francisco 49ers play the middle of a three-game homestand next week when they host the Seattle Seahawks. It’s the second time in three weeks these two teams will square off, and the 49ers will look to rebound from a 43-16 thumping up at CenturyLink Field last week.

The 49ers were a ten-point underdog last week in Seattle, and open as a roughly five point underdog next week at home against Seattle. The line is up to 5.5 points at some sportsbooks, and as low as 4.5 points in other sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. The Westgate SuperBook is one of the sportsbooks at 5.5 points. By comparison, the SuperBook’s lookahead line was set at seven points. A solid effort from the 49ers has done quick wonders for the line.

The Seahawks don’t play their Week 14 game until Monday when they host the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. Their performance in that game is likely to impact their line with San Francisco at least a little bit. The 49ers are coming off a win, but also were thumped by Seattle last week. I don’t expect drastic changes like we saw in the 49ers-Broncos line, but I could see some money coming in on the 49ers if Seattle struggles tomorrow. I could see the line dropping to 4.5 points, or climbing to 5.5 points, but not too much beyond that either way.
