The Seattle Seahawks have made some big moves this offseason to turn over their defense, and there could be another move in the offing. The Miami Dolphins are expected to release Ndamukong Suh as early as Monday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington. Coincidentally enough (or not), Suh posted this video Monday morning live from Seattle.

It could very well just be a vacation that was previously planned. But at this time of year, I’m not a big believer in coincidences. And his mention of things happening makes it even harder to think he is not in town to visit with the Seahawks.
The Seahawks have found their defensive success in part because of a strong rotation along the defensive line. With Sheldon Richardson potentially departing in free agency and Michael Bennett dealt away, the team will be in the market for more help. Suh was overpaid in Miami, but remains a big-time impact player. It would certainly be a significant upgrade if the Seahawks can make it happen.
If the Dolphins release Suh between now and the formal start of free agency, he would be allowed to sign with any team as soon as possible. Pending free agents cannot officially sign on the dotted line until Wednesday when their contracts formally expire.
