The NFL free agency tampering period has entered day two, and reported signings are flying fast and furious. The big news for San Francisco 49ers fans is that Allen Robinson is signing with the Chicago Bears and Andrew Norwell is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sammy Wakings is also off the market, and the first quarterback domino has fallen, with Case Keenum agreeing to terms with the Denver Broncos.

The most notable news as I’ve started typing this is that Drew Brees has agreed to terms on a 2-year, $50 million contract with the New Orleans Saints. It includes $27 million guaranteed. That removes a headache for the Saints that would have created some chaos in the quarterback market.

Players can officially sign on the dotted line at 1 p.m. PT on Wednesday, but in the meantime, all the news means it is time for a new free agency live updates thread. I’ll make sure and get notable news linked in here, although we will continue to have stand-alone posts for the particularly notable news.

The 49ers have been relatively quiet through the first 24 hours of the legal tampering period. They did not land Norwell or Robinson, and naturally that has some folks getting agitated. But it’s early, and I imagine we’ll see the team plenty active with that next tier of free agents. In the meantime, here is a rundown of their offseason transactions to date.

49ers transactions

March 12: Sign P Jeff Locke to 1-year deal, ST Raheem Mostert signs ERFA tender
March 11: Sign CB Richard Sherman to 3-year deal
March 9: Tender 1-year contract to RB Raheem Mostert, pick up OLB Dekoda Watson contract option
March 8: Sign WR Marquise Goodwin to 3-year extension

February 8: Sign QB Jimmy Garoppolo to 5-year extension
February 7: Sign DE Cassius Marsh to 2-year extension
