Golden Nuggets: Free agency lull is here!

Sunday, March 18, 2018 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning folks. We’re a few days into the NFL free agency period, which means we’re about to hit a lull, the biggest one until the NFL Draft. I don’t expect the San Francisco 49ers will be spending much more money in free agency.

I like the haul they’ve brought in thus far, with some reservations about Jerick McKinnon. I like his potential, and what Kyle Shanahan thinks he can do with McKinnon in the passing game. But for all the talk about his strength, I sure did see him getting pushed backwards quite a bit in the limited film study I’ve done.

Still, I’m extremely excited about Richard Sherman, and really hope the 49ers are right about his Achilles, and that Weston Richburg will feel no permanent effects from his 2017 injuries. Because those could be huge signings, or they could be ... pretty disastrous, if things go their worst. But who assumes the worst? Not this guy!

Onto your links.
