The New York Giants continue to assert they are not shopping wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr., but with teams reportedly contacting them, they’ve made the price clear. The team is looking for a pair of first round picks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
There had been some speculation the Giants wanted a first and then the second pick would be negotiable. That could still be the case, but this gives a little bit more firm a grasp on what they’re looking for in a deal.
The San Francisco 49ers have their first this year, and would seemingly need to include their first next year to make this kind of deal happen. Two days ago, I asked if people would give up a first round pick for OBJ. The results are split right down the middle. So, now that we have some more specifics on what the Giants want, let’s expand the question. Would you give up this year’s first round pick and next year’s first round pick to see the 49ers acquire Odell Beckham Jr. (and the likely contract extension that would need to be negotiated)?
