It started with a few cryptic tweets from his teammates and then the announcement that one of the leaders of the Seahawks’ Legion of Boom would be meeting with Seattle’s top brass later today. Richard Sherman’s days in the Pacific Northwest appear to be over. While I cannot look at his Sherman’s personal account due to being blocked a while ago (which came as a surprise) I can see tweets from his teammates Jeremy Lane and Kam Chancellor which indicate that he will not finish out his contract which was supposed to keep him with the team through the 2018 season.
That text message got my heart hurting ... damn 25 was my Dawg #WhatsNext

Thanks for the name @RSherman_25 https://t.co/o33BDukp1H
#Seahawks star Richard Sherman is scheduled to meet with coach Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider later today to discuss his future, I'm told.

Sherman is still not confirming a move, but why would he?
#Seahawks CB Richard Sherman just text me, "I'm good. Not sure what that's about...Haven't been told anything," in reference to Jeremy Lane's tweet.

Seahawks’ CB Richard Sherman is now on his way to NFLPA meetings in Las Vegas, which begin Thursday. Any talks with the Seahawks regarding his unsettled future in Seattle will continue while Sherman is in Las Vegas.

What was arguably once one of the best defenses in the league now has less luster. There is still no arguing how good of a player Sherman has been up until this point. In his seven years he has played 105 games and racked up 32 interceptions and returned them for 395 yards and two touchdowns. He has 104 passes defended, five forced fumbles, one sack and 286 tackles. Will he be able to make a comeback any where near his former self after healing his achilles? Where will he go? What if he wore the red and gold? Will the Seahawks be able to rebuild their defense again?
The announcement has just been made that Michael Bennett has been traded to the Eagles per Adam Schefter. It’s looking like a complete roster overhaul in Seattle after they just did the same thing with the coaching staff.
I expect this comment section to be lively. I know y’all won’t let me down. Enjoy!
