Former Cleveland coaches reportedly held a ‘fired Browns’ party in Indianapolis

During the NFL Combine, a bunch of fired Browns coaches reportedly got together and ... celebrated?

You know it’s a good day around these parts when I get to write about the Cleveland Browns twice. The first was the small bit about them having the most draft capital of any team in the modern era. The second is hilarious.

A “small group of former Browns coaches” held a small dinner party at a local restaurant during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Now, I’ve talked a lot about fake combine rumors, but I have no reason to doubt such an incredible report. What an idea!

They should do it every year, really blow it out, maybe do a charity event. There’s no word on who exactly was there but the list of fired Browns ches in recent history is ... pretty darn long. There have been 19 head coaches in franchise history, with the recent departures of Mike Pettine, Rob Chudzinski, Pat Shurmur and Romeo Crennel all still being involved in the NFL in some capacity, and thus likely to be in Indianapolis.

Then there’s a whole lot of coordinators who would apply, as well. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan asked the team for his release, so he theoretically wouldn’t qualify. But there’s a long list.

Oh, and there’s this too ...

Just priceless.
