The San Francisco 49ers full schedule will be released at 5 p.m. this evening, but we’ve got word on some big time matchups. The 49ers will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 7, and will travel to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football in Week 13.
This brings the 49ers to five prime time games for the 2018 season. Earlier we learned they will travel to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 6 on Monday Night Football, host the Oakland Raiders in Week 9 on Thursday Night Football, and then hosting the New York Giants in Week 10 on Monday Night Football.
The 49ers have not had five primetime games in one season in quite a while, but this is not a shocking development. The team got hot under quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and are suddenly a team with a lot of buzz and significant Super Bowl odds.
The Rams are divisional favorites this year, with heavy odds following their numerous additions. The 49ers have supplanted the Seahawks in many people’s minds. And after last year’s fun TNF game, another game under the lights makes sense. As for the Seahawks, how could you not have Richard Sherman’s first game back in Seattle on primetime?
