Frank Gore may not play for the San Francisco 49ers, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love tracking the fan favorite’s career. On Thursday, Gore was inducted into his Alma Mater, The University of Miami’s Hall of Fame.
In 28 games with the Hurricanes, Gore rushed for 1975 yards in 348 carries and yielded 17 touchdowns. Those numbers would have been larger had it not been for two crucial ACL tears, one keeping him out of 2002, and one coming during his season in 2003.
This marks the first of probably two gold jackets for Gore. We better see the second gold jacket five years after Gore retires from the NFL.
