Victim in Reuben Foster domestic violence case hires attorney

New, comments

The victim in Reuben Foster’s domestic violence case has hired an attorney, according to Matt Barrows. You can read through his article to get a full rundown of what this could mean.

We do not want to get into speculation about where things stand, but Barrows spoke with attorneys to get some examples of why a domestic violence victim might hire an attorney. The victim might decide s/he does not want to testify against the charged individual. It could simply be to have protection and advice because the prosecutor is represents the state not the victim. An attorney can help a person better understand the legal process.

People will read into it what they want given the rarity of this kind of decision. But again, I’d recommend giving Barrows’ article a read for his discussions with an attorney and a law professor.
