Complete list of 2018 49ers NFL draft picks

New, comments

We’ve got a full rundown of the 49ers 2018 NFL Draft class. Undrafted free agency is officially underway, so the 49ers rookie class will grow, but here are this year’s draft picks.

The 2018 NFL Draft is officially a wrap, and the San Francisco 49ers have walked away with nine draft picks. The team made a trade to move up in the second round, but it was an even trade and so they walked away with as many draft picks as they had entering the day.

The 49ers went offense early, drafting offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey in the first round, and then trading up in the second round to draft wide receiver Dante Pettis. It was a little surprising to me given the defensive needs, but the picks make sense. They were ready to move on from Trent Brown, so McGlinchey can slot in immediately opposite Joe Staley. Pettis is a record-breaking punt returner who can move all around at receiver.

The 49ers then went crazy on the defensive side of the ball, and went with some size/speed freaks. Fred Warner plays linebacker with the speed and mobility of a safety. Tarvarius Moore plays defensive back with 4.32 speed. Even seventh round pick Jullian Taylor is intriguing at 6’5, 280 pounds. The 49ers targeted defensive speed in a big way in this draft.

Here is a rundown of the 49ers entire 2018 NFL Draft class. We’ll have plenty of analysis and background information on the 49ers entire draft class in the coming days, weeks and months.
