The NFL Network kicked off its annual Top 100 list, and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo apparently only needed five starts to get on the list!
Jimmy G showed up at No. 90, and one has to think there is nowhere to go but up in year two. The Top 100 is mostly just a popularity contest. The voting is fairly nebulous, without any really clear indication of how many players actually vote.
It will be interesting to see how many more 49ers players show up on this list. Joe Staley and DeForest Buckner seem like good bets. I would be surprised if anybody else showed up there, but next year could change in a big way.
