The 2018 NFL Draft is less than three weeks away, which means a whole new host of players joining the San Francisco 49ers roster. We’ll have plenty on them, but how about a photo look back at the 49ers 2017 draft class?
I’ve had a chance to get to numerous games this year, and I’ve been able to get plenty of photos throughout the season. The gallery above focuses on the 49ers 2017 rookies.
After so many down years for 49ers fans, most probably just assumed Trent Baalke was going to return. Especially considering he was still signing players up through the week he was fired. At the very least we just assumed Chip Kelly was going to come back for one more year. Right?
Thankfully that wasn’t the case. The hiring of Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch brought a spark back to the 49ers organization and the fans. I believe from the top to the bottom people were allowed to do their jobs.
The staff John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan put together in their first year set up one heck of a draft. Last year’s draft was the mortar that set the foundation for the rise of the 49ers empire. It was only one season, but the early results suggest a bright future. Enjoy the gallery above, with photos in order of when selected.
