Happy Thursday folks! After what seems to be weeks of chewing on the fat of the draft, we finally have some news. It’s nothing exciting, but it’s news! The 49ers signed OL Mike Person to the offseason roster, welcoming him back after a 7-year and 5-team journey away from the team that originally drafted him. As a seventh round pick, he was cut before the year started, and is now the only remaining member of the 2011 49ers draft class (considering the recent trade of Daniel Kilgore) - in fact, the only recognizable persons within the 49ers organization that remain from that era are Jed York and Joe Staley.
Other than that, Matt Barrows of the Sac Bee put together a solid article on Dante Pettis the person - while it might not be the hard hitting stuff that’ll get you jacked up for some NFL, it’s still a good read. Nick Wagoner of ESPN jumped on the Fred Warner hype train with an article detailing how Warner joins a defense that welcomes undersized linebackers and puts a premium on their ability to cover. I’d highly recommend taking a look at that, especially if the prospect of losing Reuben Foster has you down these days.
