Golden Nuggets: Pierre Garcon will be a favorite of Jimmy Garoppolo

There are a lot of new faces on this 49ers roster. With free agency and the draft, the 49ers were able to grab solid pieces to help work their way back to the playoffs. But even when those players on the roster, the return of Pierre Garcon may be more important than any player added. Pierre was on his way to a 1,000 yard season when he went down last season. He was not able to play a single snap with Jimmy Garoppolo.

Jimmy had a great connection with Marquise Goodwin and Trent Taylor. It took him a limited amount of time to get that connection. But with Pierre, he will have a whole offseason to build the chemistry. Pierre has great hands and is a great route runner. Jimmy needs a receiver that he can trust to make plays and Pierre has always proven to be that guy. The 49ers’ offense could make some noise this coming season with Pierre back with Marquise and Trent.

The team signed their 6th draft pick on Monday. They signed 6th round pick Marcell Harris, a safety out of Florida, to a 4 year deal. He tore his Achilles last year and missed the 2017 season. The team has 3 more draftees to sign until they’ve signed all of them.
