Watch video of Richard Sherman running

Feel the excitement.

Fooch’s update: Richard Sherman told ESPN’s Josina Anderson that Wednesday’s field run was his first of the rehab process. Previously, he had only run on the treadmill. He told her he “felt great” and, “I’ll be ready for training camp, but (the team) is going to be overly cautious either way.”

The San Francisco 49ers are wrapping up phase 2 of their offseason workout program, and will kick off OTAs next Monday. Cornerback Richard Sherman is participating in the offseason program, but he is not expected to take part in the team drills.

Instead, Sherman is continuing his rehab process from his November torn Achilles. He posted some video to Instagram on Wednesday in which he started from a stationary position and went into what looks like a fairly high legged sprint.

There is no cutting or anything to really put extra stress on the Achilles, but obviously we want to see each and every little thing as he continues his rehab process! If you can’t see the video below, check out Sherman’s IG page.

Getting there.....
