Last week the 49ers announced that the team will wear the white uniforms from their 1994 season for a few games this season. The 1994 team was the last time the 49ers won the Super Bowl and those white jerseys have always been a fan favorite. In the 1st few days of going on sale, the team has sold over $100,000 of those jerseys in the team’s online store. Jimmy Garoppolo’s jersey has been the best seller, but after him, the other best sellers have been members of that 94 season team.
Seeing those uniforms out on the field again will bring a lot of memories. It’s a good year to bring back those uniforms since this team seems ready to make big strides. This year’s team is expected to make a run to the playoffs and they are one of the popular picks to win the Super Bowl. Hopefully the 94 jerseys will have another good run; this time with Jimmy Garoppolo and Kyle Shanahan leading the 49ers.
