49ers host second OTA session open to media

It’s practice time once again! Updates to follow.

The San Francisco 49ers opened their second week of OTAs on Tuesday, and Wednesday marks their second session that will be open to the media. Practice gets going at noon PT, with cameras able to film until team drills begin. That will be followed by defensive coordinator Robert Saleh meeting with the media at approximately 2 p.m. PT. After Saleh speaks, defensive position coaches will get a chance to talk to the media, and then selected player availability.

The 49ers had practice Tuesday, and will follow this practice with one on Friday. They will then wrap up OTAs next week on June 4th, 5th, and 7th. The third open OTA will be Tuesday, June 5th. Offensive position coaches will be made available to the media that day. That will be followed by mandatory minicamp June 12th to the 14th. Shanahan and Saleh both will be available during the minicamp.

Saleh’s press conference will be streamed at 49ers.com, and is usually on the team’s Periscope page, official app, and Twitter. Additionally, we should get a transcript later in the day.

We’ll have plenty of coverage from the day, with Jennifer Chan on hand. I’ve embedded our 49ers media Twitter list. We’ll likely get some tweets at the beginning of practice, radio silence during team drills, and then a stream of tweets after practice.
