Does anyone else have a favorite 49ers rookie? Mine is Tarvarius Moore. He is 6’2”, runs real fast, has loose hips, a smooth backpedal, and good feet. He has a 38.5” vertical leap and 33 inch arms. All that and he is a willing hitter too. Richard who?
Dante Pettis is a close second. As if his punt returning is not going to be exciting enough, I can’t wait to see Shanahan scheme to get him out in space.
Coming in third would be Fred Warner. The 49ers utilize both a shallow and a deep zone. The linebackers and strong safety usually work the shallow zone and leave the free safety to cover the deep zone. Having a linebacker that is 6’3” with 32 inch arms should make it harder for the quarterback to throw the ball over him.
By now you might be wondering why the lack of love for Mike McGlinchey. I am actually very excited about our possibilities in the run game with him playing right tackle but offensive lineman just are not that exciting to me. One of the last things I want in a game is to hear our offensive lineman’s names. Can’t I just quietly appreciate him?
